The nations of the earth are being shaken like never before. This can only mean one thing: Revival is imminent.

If you are reading these words right now, that means you are an eyewitness to one of the most dramatic and historic seasons for the Church. While much of what is happening around the world may seem unpredictable, God has a bulletproof plan that is currently unfolding in astonishing ways.

Greater Shaking, Greater Glory

In 2022 we have now entered the third year of extreme shaking that has come with the global pandemic. This is the second major shaking in modern history, along with World War II, that has impacted virtually every nation on earth.

We are facing not only the COVID crisis but the economic meltdown—with soaring gas prices, supply chain shortages, and even truckers going on strike because of the vaccine mandate. Mixed with today’s cancel culture and the radical Left agenda, it seems like we are being assaulted on all sides.

But let me give you the good news. The prophet Haggai, around 500 years before Christ, prophesied about the very things we are living through today. In Haggai 2:7, the Word of God tells of a global shaking as well as a global revival. The Lord says he will shake all nations and then he will fill his house with glory.

When God says, “I will shake all the nations,” it is not hyperbole. He means all of them! This incredible statement is a prophetic signpost for our day, as it comes before a twofold promise: The Lord will fill his house with glory (Haggai 2:7) and the latter glory will supersede the former (Haggai 2:9).

The Word of God also reveals that the greatest darkness precedes the greatest light of revival. Isaiah 60:1-3 TPT declares:

“Rise up in splendor and be radiant, for your light has dawned, and Yahweh’s glory now streams from you! Look carefully! Darkness blankets the earth, and thick gloom covers the nations, but Yahweh arises upon you and the brightness of his glory appears over you! Nations will be attracted to your radiant light and kings to the sunrise-glory of your new day.”

In this historic season we now find ourselves in, even as darkness tries to overcome the nations of the earth, the Lord is calling us to arise and be radiant because his glory is rising upon his people.

2022: A Consequential Year for the World

I strongly sense that the year 2022 is a significant year for the Church in America and around the globe. Many prophetic voices have been saying we are in a time of Isaiah 22:22, where God wants to open doors that no man can shut and close doors that no man can open.

“I will place upon his shoulders the key to the treasures of David’s palace. He will open doors that no one can shut, and he will shut doors that no one can open.”

As in the spirit, so I believe this year will be consequential in the natural. In light of the Dobbs v. Jackson case being weighed by the U.S. Supreme Court, we could potentially see the overturning of Roe v. Wade this June, even as the decision currently hangs in the balance.

In the meantime, we need to hear what the Spirit of God is saying to the Church—especially as we witness the escalating Russia-Ukraine crisis and its impact not only on Eastern Europe but on the globe. In the United States, it is also a critical season leading up to the midterm elections in November. I feel this may be the most important election season that we face. If we see Roe v. Wade overturned, the issue of abortion will then go to the states’ jurisdiction, and it is crucial that we elect pro-life politicians who are running on the local and state level.

“The one whose heart is open let him listen carefully to what the Spirit is saying now to the churches.”

Turning Our Nations Back to God
